Discover Utah's Most Unique Nonprofit

Adventure based mental health treatment in your community

Who We Are

Utah Outdoor Therapies is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to making outdoor and adventure-based activities more accessible to individuals across Utah. Our mission is to help strengthen families and support individuals impacted by addiction and mental health challenges by creating opportunities to connect through outdoor experiences. We do this by hosting free and low-cost community activities each month for individuals seeking to improve their mental health through time outdoors, as well as by providing private outdoor recreation activities for addiction, mental health, and autism treatment centers. In addition, we offer activities for community groups, businesses, mental health providers, and other organizations looking to promote well-being through outdoor engagement. What People Are Saying

“Its the dream I have been wanting to pursue from the beginning. Free outdoor activities that help people make a lasting change in their lives. This is not just a band-aid. We are working to treat some of the root causes of depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges."

Zachary Bird
Founder of Utah Outdoor Therapies

"UTOT's outdoor programs are truly a unique concept. They are bringing an opportunity for people to do what doctors and therapists have been asking their clients to do for years. Get outdoors, eat well, and engage with people. They are also doing this in an altruistic manner by providing these activities as a free resource."

Gregg Rosan
Founder of Graduation Alliance

"The field I am working in is something that I have enjoyed and I have put a lot of effort in. I feel like the work I do is meaningful, but I want you to know it's organizations like this that change the world. Utah Outdoor Therapies will really make a difference in the lives of people in Utah. I am excited to see what this becomes."
