About the event
We want to start by thanking Fish Tech, the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR), and the Jordan River Commission for sponsoring this event. All Phoenix Recovery Center clients will be covered under a fishing license exemption for the day. Any staff members who would like to fish will need to have a valid fishing license. If any staff need assistance getting a fishing license, please feel free to reach out. We will provide fishing poles, bait, and tackle for everyone who would like to participate. The activity will take place at East River Front Park in South Jordan, where we will be fishing in several stocked ponds. There is also easy access to the Jordan River for anyone who would like to fish from the river as well. We will begin by taking the first few minutes to go over some basic fishing instruction, including how to cast and how to use a pole.…
